Mother's Day Celebration

Thank you to all the Junior School mother figures who were able to join us for our 2025 Mother’s Day Celebration on Monday afternoon.  Our Year 1 hosts and hostesses did an amazing job serving our guests before they moved to classrooms, where mums and special friends joined their children to celebrate learning and school connections. Thank you to the Junior School staff for their thought and preparation of engaging activities and to Mrs Povey for all her hard work behind the scenes.

2025 Math Games/Math Olympiad Competitions

We have commenced our 2025 Math Games and Math Olympiad competition with three perfect scores in Paper 1.  Congratulations to Hazel Johns, Hugo Cameron and Alex Monsbourgh, who all scored 5 out of 5 in this Australasian problem-solving competition. The selected Year 4, 5 and 6 students will sit four papers throughout Terms 2 and 3.

Test yourself with the following question from the Year 6 Math Olympiad paper. Students have on average five minutes for each question.

Drama Showcase

I am pleased to announce that the Junior School will present a ‘Drama Showcase’ in Term 4. Each of our Prep to Year 6 classes will contribute to an item to this performance, showcasing the skills they have been developing in their regular Drama classes with Miss Kenna. The showcase will complement our existing House Services and take the place of class Assemblies. 2026 will see our second biennial production, building on the amazing success of ‘Frozen Jnr’.
