Year 1 & 2

Around our level

Year 1 Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea

On Friday the 9th May, the Year 1 students invited their mums and other important people in their lives in for afternoon tea. Visitors were presented with tiaras to wear for the occasion. They were presented with a collection of gifts, including a lavender bag each that the students had made for them. The mums and other important people feasted on croissants and tea or coffee. The students loved showing them their work, bringing them outside, and having them all to themselves for the hour.

We hope that all the Year 1 and 2 mums and important people had a lovely Mother’s Day.

Athletics Day

On Tuesday the 13th May, the whole school headed to Morrison’s Reserve in Mount Evelyn to participate in our school Athletics Carnival. The Year 1/2 students participated in long jump, bean bag toss, vortex throw, hurdles, obstacle course, and the 100m sprint. The weather was perfect and the students demonstrated all our school values of kindness, safety, and respect. It was great to see and hear our students encouraging each other and they all went home with ribbons.
