Celebrating a Successful House Athletics Day

Yarra Road Primary School recently hosted its annual House Athletics Day, and we are filled with pride as we reflect on the event's success.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated PE teachers, Mrs. Narelle Hurley and Mrs. Grace Smith, whose meticulous planning and organisation ensured the day ran smoothly. Their commitment to providing our students with a memorable experience is truly appreciated.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the many volunteers who assisted throughout the day. Your support was invaluable, and we are grateful for the time and energy you dedicated to making the event a success. Our teachers deserve heartfelt thanks for their unwavering support and encouragement, both in the lead-up to and during the event. To our students, we offer our sincerest congratulations. Your sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and team spirit were evident throughout the day. You demonstrated the true essence of our school values, and we are incredibly proud of each one of you.

Lastly, we would like to express our appreciation to TheirCare for sponsoring the event and providing complimentary hot drinks. Your support added a special touch to the day and contributed to the overall enjoyment of all attendees. TheirCare is available for before school, after school, holiday, and curriculum day student care. Please speak to the office if you would like more information.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this year's House Athletics Day a resounding success.

Yard Supervision Times and Safety Reminders

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students, yard supervision is provided at the front of the school from 8:45 am to 9:00 am in the morning, and again from 3:30 pm to 3:45 pm in the afternoon. Outside of these times, teachers are not on duty, and we kindly ask parents to arrange for their children to be dropped off and picked up within these supervised periods.

We also remind parents to utilise the designated drop-off lane when dropping off students. If you need to park, please use the designated car park spots. For those with permits, you may also utilise the left-side parking spaces. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping traffic flow efficient and ensuring the safety of all students and families.

If you have any concerns, please contact Yarra Road Primary School on 9723 4182. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.

Staffing Announcement

As you may know, Mrs. Michaela Pagliaro will be commencing her maternity and family leave next week with her last day being Tuesday the 20th of May, and we are sure you will join us in wishing her well as she prepares to welcome a new addition to her family. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Michaela and her family during this special time.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Franklin will be joining our teaching team as of Monday. Having previously worked with us as a relief teacher, he has already demonstrated his dedication and rapport with our students. We are confident that his positive influence will continue to inspire and support our learners.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Franklin to Yarra Road Primary School. We look forward to the continued growth and success of our students.

Thank You for a Successful Election Day Fundraiser

We are thrilled to announce that our Election Day Sausage Sizzle and Bake Sale was a resounding success, raising over $3,000 in profit! This outstanding achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our school community.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to ensure the event ran smoothly. Your enthusiasm and commitment were truly appreciated. To the families who baked and donated an array of delicious treats, your contributions added a special touch to the day and delighted everyone who attended. We are also grateful to those who generously donated funds to support the event.

A special mention goes to our Parent Association presidents, whose leadership and organisation were instrumental in bringing this event to life. Their dedication and hard work ensured that everything ran smoothly, and we are deeply appreciative of their efforts.

This fundraiser not only provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, but also raised significant funds that will directly benefit our students and school programs. Thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making this event a success.
