Senior School

Mr Denholm Pickering

Coming to the end of Unit 1 and Unit 3

The changeover from Unit 3 to Unit 4 will occur for most Year 12 subjects next week. With the general aim of finishing all content by the end of Term 3, this leaves year 12s with only 15 weeks of teaching time.

The changeover from unit 1 to unit 2 is coming a bit later in Week 9/10. While changing subjects are generally not a good idea, please contact Helen Ifandis if you wish to change any subjects as this changeover is the only opportunity to do so.

GAT – June 17

This week, students studying a 3/4 subject took part in a GAT preparation session. Students will become more familiar with what the GAT is, why they need to sit it and complete it to the best of their ability, and the format it will take.

Attendance and At-Risk Letters

The first round of attendance and at-risk letters for Term 2 have been sent out in Week 5. If you receive such a letter, please discuss within your family. If you have any questions or would like further support, please contact the school.

Continuing Programs

Study Without Stress

The Study Without Stress program has commenced for Year 11s this term. We have been able to refine the program after running it with the Year 12 cohort to make it specific to the students of Westall and help support students to create structured, effective study skills.
