Grade One / Two

We continue to do some fabulous learning in the 1/2 Area and are enjoying 'growing our brains' through lots of challenging activities. 

ST MARY MACKILLOP OF THE CROSS AWARDS 

Well done to Daisy, Albie, Xavier & Rocco who were our most recent award recipients. These students have demonstrated the spirit of St Mary MacKillop through their compassion, initiative and love of learning. 

GRADE 1 FOCUS

• In literacy: learning and revising new tricky words, adjectives and trigraphs.
• In numeracy: counting and place value. Mass & Measurement. 

GRADE 2 FOCUS

• In literacy: learning and revising suffixes, adjectives and comprehension skills. 
• In numeracy: Place Value 

Grade 1 & 2 students are currently learning about Geography for their Term 2 subject focus. Check out some of their fantastic investigations below! 

Grade 1 & 2’s have been doing such a great job with their whiteboard routine during literacy. Ask your child about their fantastic use of whiteboards and the key words we use in class. (chin your whiteboard, park equipment and 3,2,1 show me).
