Echuca Library Author Visit - Porscia Lam - The Unlocking

Porscia Lam is a corporate lawyer who took an extended career break in 2021 to care for her two young children, one of whom was diagnosed with autism.

Raising a neurotypical child,  alongside an autistic one, she immersed herself in navigating early intervention with her son, in search of a way to help him cope with everyday life.

His success in getting school-ready led her to write The Unlocking, which was shortlisted for the 2024 Hawkeye Manuscript Prize.
