From the Principal

As Term 2 comes to a close, it’s a great time to pause and reflect on what has been a dynamic and rewarding few months at St Augustine’s College. Our calendar has been filled with rich learning experiences - excursions, camps, sporting events and career-focused days - that have allowed our students to learn beyond the classroom and grow in confidence, connection and capability.

These opportunities do not happen by chance. They are made possible through the tireless efforts of our dedicated staff who continue to give their time, energy and expertise to support every learner. Alongside this, teachers have also been working diligently on assessment and reporting in preparation for the release of end-of-semester reports. These reports provide valuable insights into student progress and form part of the important learning partnership between home and school.

As a community, we are strongest when we work together. I take this opportunity to remind families of the importance of maintaining respectful communication and engaging positively with school processes and policies. Our shared focus is always the wellbeing and growth of our students—and this can only be achieved through mutual respect and partnership.

With winter now upon us, we encourage families to ensure students are dressed warmly for school. Please also be mindful of student health: if your child is unwell, we ask that they remain at home until they are fully recovered to help keep our school community healthy.

This term, we were pleased to receive very positive feedback from Catholic Education Sandhurst (CES) regarding our implementation of the Magnify initiative. It is encouraging to see the growing impact it is having on student learning, engagement and teacher practice. We hope to hold a parent information session about Magnify in Semester 2.

Thank you for your continued support throughout this term. I wish all families a safe, restful holiday break when it arrives.
