Dear Families
As we finish Semester One we have so much to be proud of and to reflect upon. Thank you for working in partnership with us as you met with the teachers at the Parent/Teacher Interviews to celebrate your child/children’s growth and discussed where to next for their learning. Please take time to read your child’s report with them before the start of next Term to help set their learning goals for the next semester and celebrate their achievements. We congratulate our Prep families for their first semester at school and celebrate the amazing learning they have done. We hope you can enjoy a few sleep ins and at the very least a break from making school lunches and preparing the school uniforms.
Last week Steve attached our blessed plaque to the planter box in the Zen Zone, celebrating our Community Gardening Project of 2022 and 2023. I still love watching it grow and change with the seasons. I also watch many of our community embrace and care for this part of the school. On School Tours, with pride I share our journey of our build and garden project for all to enjoy. Please take a moment to sit and enjoy this space!
Next Term we look forward to sharing our School Production and the newsletter will have a page dedicated to 'Imaginarium', for updates and communication.
As we near the end of this Term, I want to extend my sincere gratitude and acknowledge the incredible work of our Parents and Friends (P&F) Association, led by Jeremy, Holly and Mel and our amazing team of Class Reps. Their dedication and tireless efforts have enriched our school community through a variety of wonderful events this term, fostering a spirit of togetherness and support.
The Democracy Sausage Sizzle and Bake Stall, held in collaboration with the Parish, was a fantastic Saturday for our community. It was highly successful and brought everyone together for some delicious food and fun.
Our Mothers/Special Friends Day Breakfast was a truly heartwarming occasion. It was beautiful to see so many of our students celebrate the special people in their lives with such joy. This event is always a highlight and the P&F ensured it was a memorable one for all. It was wonderful celebrating Mass after the breakfast, with many of these special people and appreciating how blessed we are to have them in our lives.
The Walk to School Safely initiative, coupled with a healthy breakfast, was a brilliant way to promote road safety and healthy habits among our students. We are so grateful for the P&F's commitment to the well-being of our children.
The fun Parent Trivia Night was a roaring success! It was a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect, have a laugh and showcase their impressive knowledge. These social events are so important for building strong community bonds.
The Parents and Friends Association plays an invaluable role in our school, not only through organising these fantastic events but also in supporting various school initiatives and fostering a vibrant community spirit. Their commitment to our students and families is truly commendable.
Finally this evening the children are very excited about our Movie Night. This is always so much fun, watching a movie with friends with popcorn and enjoying pizza and gelato at intermission.
We thank the Parents and Friends for their ongoing dedication and for making this Term so special for everyone. We are incredibly blessed to have such an active and passionate group of parents and friends supporting our school. We look forward to an action packed Term 3, starting with our Grandparents and Special Friends Mass followed by morning tea on Friday 25th July 9:15am. Please let these special people in your lives know and we look forward to them celebrating Mass with us and to see learning in action throughout the school. There will also be an opportunity to share what school was like in their time and how it is in 2025.
We have a new Specialist Timetable for Term 3. Please take note of changes to the Physical Education lesson and ensure your child is wearing their Sports Uniform on the allocated day.

This week, our school community was treated to a wonderful Instrumental Concert showcasing the talents of students learning violin, drums, piano and guitar under the guidance of our dedicated Music Tutor, Ian. The concert was a celebration of practice, perseverance and passion, with students from across year levels proudly performing pieces they have been working on throughout the Term. From rhythmic drum solos to gentle piano melodies, vibrant guitar and violin performances. The concert was a joyful reminder of the power of music in our learning and school life. Well done to all our performers and to Ian for his expert teaching and encouragement!
We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. A break from school routine is a time to recharge, spend time together as a family and perhaps even being a bit bored, as that's when our creativity comes alive!
Take care and wishing God's blessings and peace upon each of you.
