NAIDOC Week
6th - 13th July 2025
Wominjeka everyone,
NAIDOC Week 2025 will be held from Sunday 6th - 13th of July, and this year's theme The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy coincides with NAIDOC's milestone of 50 years of week-long celebrations.
NAIDOC stands for National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee, and NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a time to celebrate the many who have driven and led positive change in our communities over generations. They have been the heroes and champions of the change of equal and human rights. To learn how you can get involved, visit the NAIDOC Week website.
At ENPS we recognise the importance that all students learn about and honour the strength, vision and legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. After the school holidays we will continue to engage in a variety of learning opportunities to learn the skills, knowledge and understandings of the uniqueness of these cultures and the wisdom embedded in them. As a collaborative school community, we will continue to respect the diversity and longevity of the Australia’s First Peoples and protect the sacred land we all live on today.
