School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our last newsletter of the term. We hope everyone had a great week and is staying warm. Here are a few highlights from the past two weeks.

A wonderful highlight that happened last week was that Keilor Thunder Basketball representatives came down to teach the Year Fives and Sixes about some basketball skills. We had the opportunity to properly warm up and get ready to play.

These past few weeks the Year Fives and Sixes have been training for their netball tournament. Yesterday, the final team was announced and we congratulate the 10 deserving students. The students selected from the squad will be competing in the Netball Victoria School Championships. We wish everyone who participates in this great opportunity, good luck!

We also had Home and School Partnerships meetings this week. Our parents and carers all got the chance to come into our students' classrooms and celebrate their learning and achievements. It was also a great chance to set goals for the next six months.

Next week the Year Sixes are going to a Chinese Immigration Museum and walking tour in the city. We are learning and seeing the perspectives of immigrants coming to Australia and what their experience was like becoming a part of Australian society.

On Thursday next week the students will once again face off in a battle for glory against the staff. This term we will be competing in a soccer match. We hope to see everyone watching the students win!

Finally, we hope everyone has an amazing school holiday and we can’t wait to see everyone next term!

Sincerely,

Your School Captains
