Dear Families,
The Stand Up Project - Parent Session
Just a quick reminder about the upcoming Stand-Up Project (SUP) information evening on Wednesday, 26th June from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Gallery.
SUP is a whole-school initiative that helps reduce discrimination, bullying, and harassment by involving students, teachers, and parents. Our Year 5/6 student leaders will be guiding the program next term, teaching the Year 3/4 cohort key skills to build a safe and respectful school environment.
We encourage all parents to attend—even if your child is not in Years 3-6—as the program supports the values taught across the whole school.
If you haven’t already, please RSVP via the link below: https://forms.gle/SAAzskuwsqhPofH5A
This program looks to continue to support a positive school culture.
Farewell - Bern Tripodi
After many years of dedication to our school community, we say a fond farewell to Bern Tripodi, our beloved Expressive Arts Therapist.
Bern’s involvement with Williamstown Primary spans decades—as both a committed parent and a valued staff member—bringing creativity, compassion, and care to countless students and families. Her passion for the expressive arts has enriched our school’s culture and supported the wellbeing of generations of children.
We are deeply grateful for Bern’s unwavering commitment and the positive impact she has made on our community. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire us all.
The school is currently in the process of planning the void left by Bern’s departure. While it may look different, the aim is always to best support our Willy Kids wellbeing.
Semester Reports
We would like to inform all families that student reports will be available on Friday, 27th June at 4:00 pm.
An email will be sent directly to all families outlining recent changes to the report format, along with important information to help you understand your child’s progress.
One key update to note is the introduction of a single progression point for Mathematics, which aligns with the new mathematics curriculum. This change is designed to provide a clearer and more consistent measure of your child’s learning growth in maths.
If you have any questions once you receive the report or email, please feel free to contact the school office.
