On Wednesday 4th June, we were excited to welcome the Royal Flying Doctors and their plane into our school! We learnt about the important things that they do and we even got to have a turn at flying the plane using a flight simulator!

Paramedics Incursion

This week we were so lucky to have Bart, Sam and Sam visit us from Ambulance Victoria.

We had so much fun going on the stretcher, dressing up in uniforms, playing with bandages and even turning on the siren! There were many excited students!

Occupations Dress Up Day

This term we have been talking about our past and now we are thinking about the future! What might we like to be when we grow up? We have also been talking a lot about community helpers. On Tuesday 1st July, Foundation will be having a dress up day. Students can dress up as the job they would like when they are older or a community helper. If students are dressing up as police etc, please do not send in toy guns.

Cultural Food Celebration Day

This term, Foundation students have been sharing all about our families and history. As part of this we have been exploring our different cultures and discussing different celebrations, dress and food. We would love to celebrate the end of this unit with a special food day!

On Friday 27th June, we will have our special lunch. We would love students to bring in a plate of food to be shared with the class. Food can be brought in before school or dropped off at 12.15pm. Unfortunately we cannot heat up food. Students still need to bring their own snack to school.

Please make sure no nuts (including peanut oil) are included in any of the foods. Please include a list of ingredients for any items you bring in. Also ensure any containers are labelled so we can return them to you at the end of the day! If you are concerned about any other allergies or would not like your child to participate, please contact your classroom teacher.

Year 5 Market Day

Foundation students are invited to attend the Year 5 Market Day on Wednesday 25th June. If you would like your child to buy something on the day, please supply them with no more than $10 in a labelled zip lock bag (student's name and class) and a small shopping/tote bag to carry their goodies in.

It will be helpful if you could assist your child with keeping their money zipped up safely in their school bags and discuss with them also how much money they have.

Take Home Readers

Over the course of the last few weeks, we’ve noticed an increasing number of take-home reader books being misplaced. Once your child has finished reading, please ensure the book is placed straight back into their reader cover folder and blue satchel — think of it as the book’s home. These books are part of structured sets and unfortunately cannot be replaced or purchased individually. We thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us care for these valuable resources.
