Mathematics

Welcome

Hello Vermont families and welcome to the Mathematics section of the Nurlendi News! Here is where we will share any exciting resources, news and activities from Maths classes across Vermont Primary School.

Foundation

Mrs Battle's class have been learning about estimation in Maths this week. In this game, students sneakily put some counters into a plastic cup and without counting, their partner had to estimate how many counters were in the cup.

Mathletics

All students and teachers at Vermont PS have a Mathletics account. Mathletics is a great way for students to practise their Maths skills at home and at school. Teachers can set tasks for students to complete and once these are all done, students can do more of what they choose. They can even play against other students in live online events

Every question a student gets correct on Mathletics earns them points towards certificates. So far this year Vermont PS has earned a whopping 4,098,453 points!

Which class has earned the most points so far? Well, it's Mrs Moore and 3BM with 262,019 points!! Go 3BM!

Maths Parent Videos

The students at Vermont Primary School have developed a large set of instructional videos which are designed to help parents work with their children on Maths at home.
