Kinnect to Dance

Nothing brings me more joy than watching the students of 3/4L tear up the dance floor in our Kinnect to Dance program. It has been so much fun learning all of the moves with Kyle, and the end of term performance promises to be a pretty spectacular event. Stay tuned for more details!

Celebrating Lent

It has been a week of celebration and reflection at SFX, as we ushered in the season of Lent. On Shrove Tuesday, the Grade 3/4 students participating in the traditional pancake feast, and on Ash Wednesday we attended mass with Father Burke. As part of our focus on almsgiving, Wednesday also marked the beginning of our collection for the Compassion Project, which raised over $400 last year for those less fortunate than ourselves. We are currently working towards our first goal of $25, which can support a farmer to buy a pack of disaster relief seeds in Malawi. 

NAPLAN

NAPLAN testing for our Year 3 and 5 students will take place between 13th-22nd March. 

Please take note of the following dates for each assessment:

Wednesday 13th March- Year 5 Writing

Thursday 14th March- Year 3 Writing & Year 5 Reading

Friday 15th March- Year 3 Reading & Year 5 Conventions of Language

Monday 18th March- Year 3 Conventions of Language & Year 5 Numeracy

Tuesday 19th March- Year 3 Numeracy

Wednesday 20th March-Friday 22nd March - Catch ups 

Over the next few weeks our students will participate in practice tests using the public demonstration site. This is to help them become familiar with the process and types of questions or tasks they may be asked to complete. You can also access the site through the link below.
