Week 3 Term 1
We've had a lot of fun during the first two weeks of Kinnect to Dance and are looking forward to our end of term performance! We're learning a variety of individual and paired dances, along with whole school and year level dances. Kyle has us up moving and grooving!
This week in Maths we began our unit on Place Value. As an immersion activity the students used MAB blocks to create sculptures. They then were required to find the value of their sculptures depending on the blocks they used. It was a lot of fun!
Information will be forwarded shortly regarding our upcoming parent and teacher interviews. Please make sure you make a time to come and have a chat through the online portal. It will be great to meet some of you for the first time and discuss the upcoming 2024 school year.
Students have been completing a variety of assessments to begin the year. These have included assessments for spelling, grammar and punctuation and reading. We will also be collecting a writing sample in the coming weeks. All of this information helps 'paint a picture' of where your child is at in their learning and how we as a school can help them move forward and make progress.
Kind regards, Mr Brendan.
