Maths

This week we have started a new math concept, Counting and Place Value. The students have enjoyed using various items to count in different ways.

Literacy

Over the last two weeks, we have been reading the book, ‘Today We Have No Plans.’  The students have been involved in many Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening activities in relation to the text. Here the students are showing their Days of the Week Wheels.

Education in Faith

On Wednesday we went to church for Mass. Prior to doing this we began learning about Ash Wednesday and Lent. The students watched various videos, and engaged in mindful discussion and colouring relevant to Lent. We also enjoyed having pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. Pope Francis announced that 2024 will be marked as a Year of Prayer, so we have been discussing the different types of prayer.
