Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,

SCHOOL PICNIC STOMP DANCE

What a wonderful way to start the school year with a school picnic and an engaging Dance activity. It was great to see so many families at the school again sharing in all the fun. Everybody was smiling and moving to the music.

Thank you to Uncle Rob Snr who joined us for a smoking ceremony and welcome to country.

Thank you to all parents who brought their families to the event and to Cherine Owen for organising the ‘Stomp’ classes and finale. We keep emphasising the need for all students and families to keep exercising and moving and this was a fantastic example of it.

UNIFORMS

We love our new uniforms and we are awaiting more stock to arrive. The students look so smart in their navy blue and gold. Thank-you for placing your orders. As soon as the arrive we will notify you.

ANIMAL ASSISTED INTERVENTION 2024

Students from our school will once again have the opportunity to work with our Animal Assisted Intervention dog, Sunny. Those students who are identified by teaching and wellbeing staff that may need assistance and would benefit from working with Sunny will complete dedicated sessions throughout the year.

Working with an intervention dog holds many benefits for students including reduced stress and anxiety, increased confidence and self-esteem, improved social and emotional skills, enhanced relationships with peers and teachers and improved school attendance. Sunny is a labrador x retriever and belongs to one of our Year 4 teachers Patrick Kluver. Sunny, his owner and wellbeing staff have all completed Animal Assisted Intervention Training. In order for your child/ren to have the opportunity to work with Sunny if it arises, please ensure that consent is completed through Compass. .

Have a great weekend!
