From Villa Spada

Evelyn (VS1) - On Friday of Week 2, three homerooms joined together, and tie-dyed pillowcases, which will then be donated to the Queensland’s Children’s Hospital. The students made connections with one another and enjoyed this activity together. In the College’s Year of Service, we hope that this action brings joy and warmth to those who are patients in the Children’s Hospital, and that they may recover well.

Caitlyn (VS6) - On the 1st of February, Ms Flux organised three Villa Spada Homerooms (1,2 and 6) to join in making tie dye pillowcases for the Childrens Hospital. This was a very enjoyable experience as we got the opportunity to support the community in our year of service. We hope these pillowcase will help to brighten up the children’s daily lives.

Emily (VS2) - During Week 2, on Thursday the 1st of February, Villa Spada 1, 2, and 6 participated in the creation of tie dye pillowcases. We spent our hour of homeroom time tie dying the pillowcases that were eventually taken home by Ms Flux to be put in the wash, hung out, and have a 24 hours wait for the tie-dye patterns to take form. Then on Monday the 5th of February, Ms Flux brought the pillowcases back to school so we could see the final reveal of what our creations looked like. These pillowcases will now be donated to the children’s hospital by a staff member on behalf of the Villa Spada Mount Alvernia Community to add a little more brightness and happiness into their lives.
