An Update from Deb Kirk

Assistant Principal

Teaching and Learning

All students in Year 7-10 completed an online adaptive reading comprehension and maths assessment this week (PAT - Progressive Achievement Tests). The tests allow teachers to make informed decisions about curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of our students. The data also allows the school to tailor programs to meet the needs of learners and identify students who may need support or extension through programs such as EAGLE, HAWK, MYLNS, High Abilities and the Tutor Learning Initiative.

Students who were absent will have an opportunity to complete the assessment next week.

Home Learning Support

Home Learning Support runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3.15 – 4.15 in B13 for any student requiring additional support with home learning tasks or wanting a quiet place to study. All students are encouraged to attend as needed. Home Learning Support begins in Week 3. Students are not required to sign up to attend.
