In the Spotlight

I’m Ms Swan (Melanie or Mel to parents) and I am one of the Year 2 teachers.

I am so happy to be here at OGPS!  I have worked within primary schools as a Literacy Tutor, Performing Arts teacher, in Wellbeing Support and as a Learning Mentor for the past 6 years and am so excited to be a graduate teacher and have my own class.

Here are some things about me:

I have three children, Jake, Daisy and Beau.

We have a beautiful Border Collie called Scout, who loves to jump fences and walk himself to Jan Juc beach or to Swell Café for a latte and a pat.

My partner Llew went to OGPS and was in the same classroom in grade 5 & 6 that I now teach in!

I love to surf, especially with my kids! Jan Juc, Winki and Torquay Point are my favourite spots… and recently I have surfed some secret spots around the Bellarine….Sshhhhh!

I practice yoga and have completed my teacher training.  I am looking forward to practicing yoga with my Year 2 students.

I enjoy bushwalking and waterfall hunting!

I am learning how to grow veggies.

Please come and say hello to me if you see me out and about in the school yard.

Hi there,

I’m Paul, AKA Mr. Coverdale. I’ve recently moved to Ocean Grove from Elwood, Melbourne, with my wife and daughter. I was previously teaching at Hampton Primary School for 6 years and I feel very lucky to have landed here at Ocean Grove Primary School.

Here are a few things about me that may help you get to know me quicker:

  • I love surfing.
  • I love going to the beach with my family.
  • I love music and often play piano or guitar at home.
  • I enjoy walking my black Labrador, Freddie Mercury, along the beach or around town.

Come and say hello if you see me around the school yard 😊
