Inclusion at OGPS

Inclusion at OGPS

Ocean Grove Primary School is working hard to strengthen inclusion across the school in 2024. We have a number of strategies and plans in place. A few major ones to be aware of include…

  1. 2024 Cultural Ambassadors, and Inclusion and Wellbeing Captains: congratulations to Jaxon Price, our First Nations Ambassador, and Lucy Polgar, Sadie Jackson and Sofia Pascoe-Leahy our Well Being Captains. They represent the student voice for inclusion at OGPS.
  1. Learning Specialist (inclusion): Mr Baltetsch. Mr B, supported by the Learning Mentors, does a great job of building inclusive practices and coaching staff to increase their knowledge and awareness. This year, during first semester, he has secured Department of Education Inclusion Outreach Coach Vicky Muises-Khoury to work with OGPS staff 1 day a week. Welcome, Vicky!
  1. Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader: Andy McNeilly. Andy does amazing work providing students, parents and staff with tools to promote mental health and wellbeing.
  1. Inclusion subcommittee (a School Council Subcommittee)

Thanks for your support in making OGPS an inclusive learning environment for all!
