PARENT PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR STUDENT SUPPLIES AND VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS
Bulk Student Classroom Supplies
The new system of supplies going straight to the classroom has been a great success this year. It has meant a lot less work for our teachers, a huge reduction of waste, and from the feedback we’ve had from families, a lot less stress not having to worry about ordering, paying before Christmas and having to bring all the supplies to school.
Contributions and Payment
The student stationery contribution and other voluntary contributions will be placed on Sentral in the next week. You can choose to either pay the full amount, part pay or pay by instalments which is similar to how you would pay for optional excursions or camps on Sentral. If you are not paying the contributions or only paying part, please inform the office so we can adjust or remove them.
Any shortfall from stationery contributions not being met may affect funds being allocated to other programs beneficial to students. Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum, however the ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. Ocean Grove Primary School is a non-profit organisation. The Department of Education provides funds through the Student Resource Package to operate and staff the school, and your fundraising and voluntary financial contributions enable us to enhance the teaching and learning programs, particularly in areas such as STEM, Art, Music, Languages and extracurricular programs to enhance learning.
Financial Support for Families

Medication & Health Plans
Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority at our school. In order to provide appropriate care for any student requiring medication during school hours, we kindly request that you complete a Medication Authority Form, which is available from the office. This form allows us to have vital information about the medication, dosage, and administration details, ensuring that our staff can administer medications safely and effectively. Additionally, for ongoing medication, we request that you provide it in a Webster pack to facilitate accurate dispensing. Your cooperation in this matter is crucial for maintaining a healthy and secure environment for all our students. Please also see link to our medication policy available on our website.
We would also like to remind parents of children with asthma or allergies to kindly provide the school with updated management plans at your earliest convenience. It is essential that we have accurate and current information regarding your child's specific condition, including any changes in medication, triggers, or emergency procedures. This proactive approach ensures that our school staff can respond promptly and effectively in case of any health-related situations. Your cooperation and timely updates are vital in creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Parking
It is crucial to emphasise the significance of adhering to parking signs and displaying respect for residents when dropping off or picking up children from school daily. Recent complaints from residents highlight the pressing issue of vehicles obstructing driveways, hindering residents' ability to enter or exit their homes. Such behavior not only poses a safety risk but also causes unnecessary inconvenience for the local community. In response to these concerns, parking inspectors will be actively patrolling the area, and violators may face penalties. By following designated parking guidelines and being considerate of residents, we contribute to a safer and more harmonious neighbourhood, fostering positive community relations for the benefit of all.
