Hi all and welcome to the 2024 school year.
Every week your child's class will be participating in an hour long P.E. lesson. Can you please ensure they bring the following on their P.E. day:
- a hat
- a drink bottle
- sports uniform
- sports shoes
The Year 6s will also need to bring their sports gear on a Friday as they will be participating in school sports.
Classes have been provided with sports equipment such as footballs, netballs, basketballs, skipping ropes etc to be used during playtimes. They are also allowed to bring their own from home, but make sure their names are written on in permanent marker. And tell them to keep their treasured ball away from the buildings - we found over 100 balls up there last year!
We hit the ground running with our interschool sports in Term 1. Here are the dates:
Year 6 Interschool Sports
- Friday 9th Feb Practice at home
- Friday 16th Feb v Aspendale PS (home)
- Friday 23rd Feb v Aspendale Gardens PS (away)
- Friday 8th March v Patterson Lakes PS (away)
- Friday 15th March v Chelsea Heights (home)
- Friday 22nd March Lightning Premiership at various venues
Swimming Training from 7.00 to 8.00 am
- Mon 12th Feb at Toby Haenans S.C.
- Thu 15th Feb at Mentone Aquatic
- Mon 19th Feb at Toby Haenans S.C.
- Thu 22nd Feb at Mentone Aquatic (final trials)
- Mon 26th Feb at Toby Haenans S.C.
- Thu 29th Feb at Mentone Aquatic
Friday 1st March District Swimming Carnival at Pines Aquatic
Running Club will start on Wed 28th Feb from 7.45 am.
Term 2
- Wed 24th April Intraschool Athletics at Mentone
- Tues 30th April Intraschool Cross Country at school
- Fri 10th May District Cross Country at Cornish College
- Fri 14th June District Winter Lightning Prem
