Term 1

This week, all students from K-6 completed a post-assessment, testing all of the skills that they have practised so far this term. Students were tested on skills including one-handed catches, pinky bowl catches, overarm throws, running technique, and paddlebat skills. Overall, the students are commended for displaying improvements in the areas of overarm throws and running technique. Although, students are again reminded to use the throwing technique that has been taught in class, “feet together, aim, muscle arm, step, throw”. Additionally, students are encouraged to use correct technique while running, particularly keeping their heels off the ground, and having their arms swinging in “L” shapes. On Friday, 3-6 students completed a second trial for Winter PSSA teams, and final teams will be announced in the coming weeks.

Students have been reminded to arrive promptly at the steps of the half basketball court at the start of their lesson, equipped with their hat and a full water bottle to ensure they remain hydrated.
