Dear Parents and Carers,
This Week’s Gospel – Jesus Meets the Woman at the Well
A moment of encounter sits at the heart of this week’s Gospel, where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well and gently opens her eyes to God’s love for her. What begins as an ordinary request for a drink becomes a life‑changing conversation. Jesus sees her fully, her struggles, her questions, her hopes, and offers her living water, a love that refreshes and renews from the inside out.
For our school community, this story reminds us that God often meets us in the everyday moments of our lives: in the playground, in the classroom, at the dinner table, or during a quiet pause in a busy day. Like the woman at the well, we are invited to let Jesus speak to our hearts and to trust that His love can transform us.
It also encourages us to be people of welcome. Jesus crosses boundaries of culture, gender, and history to show kindness and dignity. In our school, we can follow His example by noticing those who may feel left out, offering a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. Small acts of compassion can become moments of grace.
As the Samaritan woman ran to share the Good News with her village, we too are called to share God’s love through our actions. Perhaps a helpful question for families this week is: Where might Jesus be inviting us to slow down, listen, and offer kindness to someone who needs it?

Welcoming Mrs Shannon Bills
This week we are delighted to welcome Mrs Shannon Bills to our front office team. Shannon will be working with us Monday to Wednesday, joining Mrs Kaye Palmano who is in the office Monday to Friday, and Mrs Sharlene Hartwell who supports our community Thursday and Friday.
Our office is often the first point of contact for families, and we are grateful for the warmth, professionalism, and care each member of our team brings to their work every day.
Catholic Schools Week – Open Days
We were proud to open our doors on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as part of Catholic Schools Week, welcoming 90 families who came to see our school in action. The atmosphere across both afternoons was joyful and full of pride.
A special thank you goes to our Year 6 students, who served as outstanding tour guides. Their confidence, leadership, and genuine love for our school shone through as they guided visitors around our learning spaces.
We were also blessed to have some of our talented Amadeus music students performing throughout the afternoons. Their beautiful playing created a welcoming and uplifting environment for our guests.
NAPLAN Best Wishes
Next week our Year 3 and Year 5 students will be completing their NAPLAN assessments. We wish them all the very best. We know they will approach each task with focus and determination, and we are proud of the learning journey that has brought them to this point.
God Bless,
Mr Marcel Arendse
