Support our St Vincent De Paul Conference

Earlier this year, access to low-cost nonperishable food for our pantry from Food Bank Victoria was lost due to insatiable demand. Demand from families in need within our community is also high and supporting them with pantry food made a difference. Our pantry is empty. To highlight the need and provide an opportunity for parishioners to contribute nonperishable food items for our pantry, a basket is located at the rear of the Church.

Daylight Saving Time Changes

On Sunday 5th April, eastern daylight savings time ceases. Therefore Saturday night Masses will move from 6pm to 5pm.

Helpers Needed for Easter

We are looking for people available to assist with the hot cross buns for the Good Friday Ecumenical Service (4th April) being held in the Memorial Gardens. Helpers to meet in the Parish meeting room at 8.45am to assist with buttering of buns. Please note all who help with serving buns at Memorial Gardens will need to provide a copy of Working with Children card. We are also looking for people to assist with the Palm Sunday and Easter ceremonies. Clipboards and sheets are at the back of the Church if you are available to assist. Please ensure that a phone number is left so you can be contacted. Please see Mary Zobec.

Bendigo (*Pre-Palm Sunday) Walk for Refugees

On Saturday 28th March at Lake Weeroona from 6.30pm. Meet at the northern end of the lake, register, sign a letter of support and walk around Weeroona as a gesture of solidarity and welcome. A brief vigil will be held around 7.15pm. Bendigo Churches ask you to join with people across the nation calling for justice and compassion for asylum seekers and refugees; and for a tolerant, generous and welcoming Australia.

Chrism Mass

Mass of the Holy Oils - 11.00am Tuesday 31st March, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo.

You are warmly invited to join Sandhurst priests, religious, and faithful from every parish, when the whole Diocese gathers in communion as one Body in Christ. The principal celebrant will be Archbishop Charles Balvo, Apostolic Nuncio to Australia. At this Mass priests and religious renew their vows and all the faithful are invited to renew their baptismal promises, celebrating our shared life and mission as the Church in Sandhurst. A sausage sizzle and light refreshments in the Cathedral grounds will follow Mass.
