K-2 Easter Visitors

Sacred Heart School was pleased to welcome children from the Baan Baa Pre-school for some Easter activities following our Easter Hat Parade. 

We would like to thank Baan Baa for joining our celebrations.

K-2 Reflection Day

The K-2 class has been rehearsing a Last Supper play that they will perform at the whole-school Reflection Day later this week. Working on this play has deepened students' understanding of Easter by allowing them to walk in the Twelve Apostles' footsteps. The students have worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, remember their cues, and help each other get ready for the performance. They should be commended for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm.

Year 3-6 Maths

Students in Yr 3–6 have been exploring a range of addition strategies to build confidence and accuracy in Mathematics. We have been using methods such as partitioning, compensation, and number lines to solve problems in flexible ways. By sharing and discussing different approaches, students are developing a deeper understanding of how numbers work. It has been wonderful to see their growth in mental maths skills and their willingness to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.
