How to be BRAVE

I hope you are settling in well this term and staying cosy in this weather!

Today, I want to highlight the BRAVE Program, an incredible resource developed by the University of Queensland to help teenagers effectively manage anxiety. This free, engaging online program offers practical strategies for dealing with anxiety and includes versions for both teens and their parents/guardians.

Why BRAVE?

•             Always Accessible: Available online 24/7.

•             Research-Based: Proven techniques for managing anxiety.

•             Self-Paced: Move at your own comfort level.

•             Family-Friendly: Includes resources for both teens and parents.

The BRAVE Program offers interactive activities, videos, and tasks designed to empower teens and support their mental health journey. It's a fantastic tool for building resilience and confidence.

Program Features:

•             Age-Specific Programs: Separate versions for children aged 8-12 and teenagers aged 12-17.

•             Guided Exercises: Audio tracks for deep breathing, muscle relaxation, and guided imagery.

•             BRAVE Ladder: A tool for planning and managing exposure to anxiety sources.

The BRAVE Program is based on cognitive-behavioural therapy and is available free of charge to those who register within Australia.

For more information and to register, visit the BRAVE Program website.

Stay well and take care!
