Year 4 Respectful Relationships

During Respectful Relationships in Term 2, Year 4 students learnt about fostering positive gender relationships and understanding the vital role of respect, responsibility, and boundaries in preventing gender-based violence.

Embracing diversity was a key theme. Students explored differences in gender, background, and interests, emphasising the importance of acceptance and inclusivity in building strong, respectful relationships.

Children learnt about taking responsibility for their actions and interactions. By promoting respectful behaviours and inclusive attitudes, we aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students..

Through discussions, scenarios and interactive activities we aimed to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate relationships respectfully and responsibly. We are proud of their enthusiasm and thoughtful participation in these important discussions.

We encourage you to continue these conversations at home, reinforcing the values of respect, responsibility, and inclusivity with your child. Together, we can support their growth as respectful individuals and members of our Gardenvale community.

These are some highlights of the term where the students worked cooperatively and respectfully with each other for a common purpose.
