Welcome Back

A big welcome back to school and to Term 3! We hope that everyone has enjoyed a great break and are ready and raring for an exciting term ahead. We have a lot coming up and we look forward to all that is ahead of us, none more than the School Concert in Week 7. We will be looking for volunteers and assistance very soon with everything concert related, so keep an eye out for updates via Compass and the newsletter.

See you all during the week,

The Scotsburn Team

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to Kirsty and Stuart Robinson on the safe arrival of Louie Alec Robinson, born on the 5.7.24. From the whole Scotsburn community, Congratulations Mrs Robinson!

Holiday Animal Care

A big thank you to the Bird family for offering to look after Pip over the holiday break. We are sure she has had an exciting holiday!

Smile Squad Session - Thursday

This Thursday 18th, The guys from Smile Squad will be coming to visit Scotsburn to give an Oral Health Education presentation. SC1 and SC2 will be combined, running at the Scotsburn campus from 9:05am - 9:40am. Smile Squad will attend our school later in the year to provide free dental care for any students who have registered.

Term 3 Home Reading Goal

Congratulations to all the students who reached 60 nights of reading last term. We celebrated with a movie and popcorn on the last day of term. It was lovely to see so many students reach this milestone. This term's reading target will be 100 nights. We have also set a stretch goal of 130 reading nights for students who have already reached 100 nights. Please remember to send in your child’s readers and diary to school each day. This helps set up good routines and expectations around reading.

Buninyong Community Playgroup Visit

This Friday the 19th we will be welcoming the Buninyong Community Playgroup for a visit to the campus. They will be popping in from 9am - 11am and using various facilities. It is wonderful that we have been able to form a partnership with the local playgroup, and they will be visiting us another two times this term. Any parents are more than welcome to pop in and say gday, as well as welcome them to the campus.

Due to this visit, we will not be attending the whole school assembly at Buninyong. We will find an alternative date in the coming weeks to visit Buninyong and get to the library.

Whole School Disco - Friday 25th July

The Disco is only one week away, on Friday 26 July! Our event last year was another massive hit and a highlight of the year for many students. We're looking forward to another wonderful night in 2024!

Don’t forget to RSVP via Compass to attend, and pay $5 entry via QKR prior to the night.

  • Snacks & drinks will be available to purchase on the night
  • Junior (P-2) Disco 4 - 5pm
  • Senior (3-6) Disco 5.15 - 6.15pm
  • Absolutely no phones or devices to be brought along

We are seeking some parent volunteers to assist at the kiosk for each disco. Please click the link and sign up here if you are able to help out!

SC1 and SC2 Learning Snapshot

Please keep an eye out this week for the SC1 and SC2 termly classroom newsletter. These will be sent out on Compass as well as a paper copy sent home with your child. These newsletters have lots of important information regarding what is happening this term.

Scotsburn Intercampus Travel

At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day.

We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.

If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher.
