Olympic Dress Up Day Friday 9th August
Dear Robbie Mac families,
We hope you have enjoyed the opening few days (or late nights...) of the Paris 2024 Olympics! As a school, we will be celebrating the Olympic Games next Friday 9th of August .
All classes have selected a country taking part in the Olympics and we encourage all students to dress next Friday in the colours of their country's flag. Please find the list of countries below.
In addition to wearing the colours of the flags, we will also be holding a special whole school Olympics assembly next Friday afternoon.
Events such as the Olympics, and the Paralympics which will follow, provide so many great teaching points for young children, such as the importance of hard work, determination, resilience, sportsmanship, coping with setbacks - and many, many more - and these will all be explored in classes over the coming weeks.
We are looking forward to an exciting Olympics-themed day next Friday!

Seeking a School Fair Manager for 2025!
Our Fair committee is almost complete, thanks to the recent Expression of Interest, but we still need one important role filled: the School Fair Manager!
Can you help? As the Fair Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Project Management: Lead meetings and ensure all plans are on track.
Communication: Serve as the primary contact between school leadership, the PFA, and the Fair committee.
Event Planning: Organise and plan a fireworks display.
Event Day Oversight: Ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event.
Sadly, without a Fair Manager we won't be able to proceed with a school fair.
A full handover and plenty of support is on offer. If you're interested, please contact robbiemacfair@gmail.com.
What a fantastic milestone we celebrated on Monday, July 29th—our 100th day of school! Our theme this year was "100 Days Older," and our students embraced it with excitement. The hallways were buzzing with excitement as our little ones arrived dressed up as charming "100 year old" people, complete with wigs, glasses, and walking canes.
We kicked off with a lively parade, where each student proudly showcased their creative costumes. To mark the occasion, we decorated cookies, and had a class party to celebrate the occasion.
In addition to the fun, the students engaged in some fantastic 100-day-themed writing, where students expressed what they wish to accomplish before they turn 100.
Here’s to many more days of learning and fun ahead!
