ST. Johns SHREK Musical

On Tuesday the 23rd of July the grades 5 / 6 went to the Shrek musical at St. Johns Regional College. The grades walked to ST. Johns at 10:30am. There were many other schools there at St. Johns with us.

The Musical was performed by students from St.Johns and some students from St. Mary's. Here is what some students said about their experience at St.Johns.

It was a very funny musical and I enjoyed watching it. I loved seeing the other students from other schools.  - Reshan

It was fun! The actors did a very good job, and I loved watching it. -  Jane

It was my first time watching a musical and I liked how they portrayed the story.  - Alliana

" It was eggsiting doing the egg and spoon race." - Devika

I enjoyed the limbo Olympics that we had in the hall. - Jewel

Giselle - Even though the games were hard and fun every body was fair.

Wiktoria - I enjoyed the running race on the oval.   I was one of the organisers, we told the students what the rules of the games were and helped them have fun.

Sofia - My favourite thing to do was the limbo because you got to have a stretch.  It was fun!

Ruhi - My favourite thing was the limbo because everyone was helping each other.

There were two to three teams made out of each class.  It was like a relay race where you walked up to half court line and then came back without dropping the egg.  If you dropped the egg your whole team was eliminated.  It was really fun seeing who won the races and some people ate the eggs. - Kamoch

I liked when we went to the Oval and ran the race.  I got first place.  - Grace

I helped on the bean bag toss and kept score by counting in 5's, 10's, 20's and 50's. I explained the rules of the game to each class and made twist by adding a surprise.  When a person gets more points or even carries the team they get a prize of a crown made out of paper.  - Amira
