Leavers’ Service
Monday 20 November - 4.30pm
The Leavers’ Service is an important event to recognise and celebrate student effort and achievement, and to acknowledge the end of their time at The Friends’ School.
- A reminder that students will need to wear full formal school uniform for this event.
- All students are to be seated at the front of The Farrall Centre, in alphabetical order by last name, by 4.15pm. There will be staff available to assist with this.
There will be refreshments in the Clemes foyer following the Service until 6.30pm.
Please contact Kate Baldry if you have any questions. We sincerely hope that this Service provides an opportunity for Year 12 students and their families to celebrate their contributions to The Friends' School.
Laptop Returns
A reminder that Year 12 students must return their laptops and Apple charger by the 24th of November. All students have been emailed information about how to purchase their laptops.
Year 11 students are able to keep their laptops over the break.

Elevate Education Presents: Resilience, and how parents can help build resilience at home Webinar

In this webinar, Elevate will be showing parents:
- What resilience means, what it doesn’t mean, and why it’s important;
- How to help build your child’s resilience levels, both in and out of school
- How to help your child break their ‘fear of failure’

Year 11 IBDP Chemistry Excursion to UTAS
Wednesday 22 November | 11am – 2pm
The Year 11 IBDP Chemistry class will be visiting the UTAS - Discipline of Chemistry and UTAS - Central Science Laboratory, to complement their unit of work – Topic 11: Analytical techniques.
Students are permitted to wear casual clothes for this excursion; however, they must ensure they are appropriately attired for a chemical laboratory. Comfortable closed in footwear is a must.
Students will be transported to and from the Sandy Bay campus by bus.
