The Grade Three/Four teachers would like to take this opportunity to thank our students and their families for a wonderful 2023. We have had many amazing opportunities and experiences throughout the year. Some highlights included our camp at Arrabri Lodge, the fabulous Art Show, our Christmas concert, incursions and the many sporting opportunities.

This term we have been exploring The First Fleet and the impact this had on our First Australians. Students explored the reasons for the First Fleet journey, who was onboard, the difficulties the passengers faced, how they lived upon arrival and their interactions with Indigenous Australians. We watched some interesting episodes of 'My Place' to further enhance the students' understanding of the topic.

A big congratulations to Mrs Haines and her support crew for creating such a high calibre Art Show. There is certainly a lot of talent at Upwey South Primary School! Our students really enjoyed the immersive experience and exploring the art pieces produced by our students.

What a memorable evening the Christmas Concert was. Congratulations to Mrs Lang, our school Rock Band, our Aerobics team and all of the students involved in the night. Thank you also to 3MDR for their support for the night. It was incredible seeing so many families joining us in celebration.
