We are currently expanding our business and require two apprentices who are reliable and can work autonomously, as well as part of a team, to provide our clients with the highest level of service.
A typical day for an apprentice locksmith will involve interacting with customers in a retail setting, cutting keys repairing and assembling locks and selling security related products, providing support to our Mobile Locksmiths, and under taking other workshop related tasks.
To be successful in this role you will be:

. Able to communicate well with both customers and colleagues
. Self-motivated with strong work ethic
The ideal candidate will be career focused and willing to undertake their studies to the best of their ability.
Please note successful applicants will be required to apply for a National Police clearance before commencing work, and must be able to transport themselves to Melbourne Polytechnic in Heidelberg to attend TAFE.
This position is full time 8:30am – 5:00 Monday to Friday

This Administration Support & Reception Officer Trainee is a key support position to the Child Protection team within the North Division. The role undertakes a range of administrative tasks that contain sensitive and confidential information when assistance is required for families and children currently going through Child Protection processes.
Key accountabilities
- Undertake a range of administrative functions to support the operation of the work unit as required and, under general direction, participate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
- Perform computer-based tasks including preparing and sending standard written communications.
- Communicate and liaise effectively with managers, staff and community networks to assist in the professional operation of the area.
- Contribute as an effective branch member in a team environment and assist in the provision of quality, timely and effective customer service to managers and staff within the branch.
- Coordinating meetings and assist in preparing agendas and note-taking when required.
- Input data and information to the department’s databases and systems.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies.
- Assist in making appropriate referrals to internal or external support service providers in order to assist clients with their short-term housing needs.
- Where you become aware of domestic violence and/or children at risk, you must escalate this knowledge to senior staff members for follow up.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.

Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Cookery, Horticulture and Hospitality Program with WomenCAN Australia
The Horticulture, Cookery, and Hospitality (HCH) Program is a transformative initiative dedicated to providing training and employment opportunities for 15 women in the Mildura and Mallee Region, Australia. This program is aimed at individuals of indigenous and CALD backgrounds, those in job transition, or those who have experienced disadvantage.
It is our mission to create a lasting impact on these women's lives, and we would like to invite your community of eligibly women to be a part of this journey.
Program Objectives:
- Provide 15 women in the Mildura and Wimmera Mallee Region with training and employment opportunities in the horticultural, cookery and hospitality sectors aged between 17-24.
- Recruit and support women of indigenous and CALD backgrounds, or those who have experienced disadvantage.
- Assist women in gaining entry into Certificate III in Horticulture, Cookery or Hospitality based on their interests and choices.
- Implement WomenCAN Australia's innovative "The Placement Circle (TPC)" model to create a supportive community and peer network that enhances participants' vocational education and employment experiences.
- Collaborate with local employers to offer safe, well-remunerated, and supportive working environments, leading to apprenticeships or direct employment opportunities for program participants.
- Evaluate the program's impact on participants' work readiness and success through key performance indicators and data-driven metrics.
- Raise community awareness of the ongoing need to support women and create employment opportunities in a non-bias, safe environment.
