Move Up Day & Staffing for 2024

For Curiosity and School Aged Child

Monday December 11

How fast time flies.  The ELC and School team have been diligent in observing children throughout the transition process, having discussions with the children and creating strategies to support every child at the upcoming Move Up Day.

This day is for ALL children attending either the ELC or School in 2024, and is a great morning of connecting into the learning communities that they will be with next year.  We are very excited about the year ahead for all of our children and look forward to gathering together next Monday.

2024 School Children

Your day commences at school at 9am.  Information has been emailed to each family about further details.  We look forward to welcoming those children who are booked in for the day after your visit has finished at 10:30am.  You are welcome to join the School leaders for morning tea after you have dropped your child off at their classroom.

2024 Curiosity Children

Your day will start with us at Curiosity from 8:30am.  It will be very busy in the carpark so please allow time to maybe have a little walk to the Centre.  Please bring along a hat and drink bottle.  A fruit snack will be provided for you.

On this morning we will play together before heading into our Learning Teams for 2024. Families are welcome to join me for morning tea with the other Stage 1 families and school leaders.

Please refer to the Learning Team posters to see what team your child will be part of and the educational teams that will be designing the 'Living & Learning' (curriculum).  You may like to print one for your child so that they can learn the names of their educators and friends for 2024.

Staffing Announcements for 2024

Mrs Karen Bloffwitch will be entering into a new role with us in 2024, taking on the Assistant Director role.  Karen has been with us since we opened in 2020 and has mastered many skills in the field of early childhood education and care.   Her gifts and skill set within Administration will underpin our operations at the Centre, so we are very excited to share this appointment with you.  Karen will be the contact person for all amendments to your Complying Written Agreements, Compliance, Risk Management and Daily Operations including non attendance.

I will be continuing on as Director of the ELC and embracing the Educational Leader role. This role allows me to work with each team one day a week and to support the design of the Educational curriculum of the Centre.

Mrs Hannah will be joining Miss Shelly and the Orange Team in 2024 which is very exciting!

Mrs Vanessa and Miss Lauren will be working 4 days a week next year with Miss Phoebe working on the days they will not be in.  This model allows for their to be a continuity of care for these children.

Mr Ollie, Miss Nicola and Mrs Amelia will be continuing with us in 2024 in a casual capacity as they focus on study and explore alternative professional pathways.

We wish to thank Mrs Payal Joshi for her time with us this year in the capacity of Administration Educator.  It has been a short but sweet time having her on team, and we wish her God's joy, peace and happiness in her new role.

The recruitment process for two additional educators in 2024 continues next week, and we look forward to announcing those successful applicants with you in early January.
