St Edward's Representative Shirts

Please keep a lookout for these in your cupboards, school bags, dirty clothes baskets, even under beds. We are still missing a considerable amount of shirts which will be required to be handed back in this term.

BOXING SUPER STAR

Reid Gray competed in the 2023 Australian Boxing League Titles in Hobart. Reid won his fight on Thursday, taking him straight through to the finals on Saturday. Reid won his finals fight, bringing home gold and being crowned the Australian Champion in the 32kg weight division. What an amazing achievement Reid!! Congratulations.

Netball and Basketball uniforms

If your child is in Year 6 and does not have a sibling to hand their netball/basketball uniform to, would you consider donating or selling your uniform through the school? We are always looking for second hand uniforms for our new families and new students to the sport. Please see Mrs Bridge in the canteen for more information around this.

Basketball 2023 Summer Comp

St Ed’s Opals had another great season in the 3/4 girls competition. They went down to South’s in the grand final in what was a great game. They should be very proud of how well they played all season!

Absent from photo: Margaux Marado, Sunny Jackson, Larna Cutmore.

Congratulations to the St Ed's Cyclones for their close win. The boys played their last game together in Primary school winning 27-25.

Unfortunately Sty Ed's does not have enough players to make a team in the 5/6 girls competition so Emily O'Connell plays with Westdale. Congratulations to the girls on their win from last Thursday's Grand finals.

Diocesan Basketball trials

Good luck to the following students who are representing our school at the Diocesan Basketball trials this Friday. If a selection is successful, they will be competing in the Polding trials held in Lismore on the 9th February.

Back row: Nash Bradley, Isaiah Missen, Blake Swan, Margaux Morado, Zeb McKinnon.

Front Row: Jimmy Press, Makenzie Smith, Emily O'Connell, Madeline Noad, Stella Damon and Nathan Rex.

Athletics

Pyper Lace (5Q) competed at the Little Athletics Zone Championships on the weekend. The weather conditions were not ideal with the pouring rain. This didn’t dampen her spirits; she placed 1st in Triple Jump, 4th in 100m Sprint, 2nd in Discuss and 3rd in Shot Put. Pyper will now progress to the Regional Championships in January 2024. Congratulations Pyper.
