Snapshots from Springvale Camp
This Friday was the final Foundation Transition session and all students will receive a show bag including a picture story book and some resources for the school holidays. We look forward to welcoming all our new students and their families into the Springvale Rise Community in 2024.
The JLC students have been practising visualising while they read, and forming an ordered, sequence of events as they occur. This skill has helped them to separate the main events from other supporting details.
Whilst in Mathematics, the JLC students have identified 2D and 3D shapes in the environment. They have studied shape properties and learnt how to construct and draw accurate representations of everyday objects.
The SLC students have been working hard to master their division skills when working with larger numbers. Students have used hands on materials and long division algorithm, to solve complex number problems. They have even chosen to stay in during lunchtime to master their skills.
Please talk to your child about being safe online.
The Springvale Campus students have also been learning about online safety and discussing being a positive online user. Please ensure you are also talking to your child/children about their use of online apps and social media; encouraging them to be kind and safe when online.
