Christmas Wellness

The holiday period is upon us once again. It’s time to connect with family and friends and while this may be an enjoyable time for some it may also leave us with feelings of sadness or loneliness.  We may have feelings of excitement and joy, but these may be mixed with conflicting feelings of pressure and stress.

Self-care and regular rituals are important at this time of year, such as preparing for bed, eating a healthy meal or going for a walk. Sometimes we skip these rituals because of the busyness of the season, when in fact this may be the time we need them most. It may also be helpful to consider creating your own rituals to remember the person who is not present, providing a practical way to connect.

This link has helpful information about creating rituals to move through grief.

We encourage you to take care of your own wellbeing and make space for yourself this holiday season.
