Welcome Back

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to the 2026 school year! We hope you had an amazing holiday and spent time with family and friends, relaxing and enjoying each other's company! We are very much looking forward to seeing our students and hearing about their wonderful holiday escapades on Wednesday.

REMINDERS FOR THE START OF TERM

Communication

Any communication regarding your child's academic progress or wellbeing must be made via your child's classroom teacher. This enables strong relationships between the teacher, child and parent to be built. I am very happy and encourage both parents and staff to cc me into all communications. This helps us to support each other to ensure a positive outcome can be achieved.

When a staff member phones parents, we always leave a message, please make sure you listen to the message so you know who is trying to contact you.

Please see the attached specialist timetable for Term 1. Please note that we now have specialists over four days.

Books and Stationery for 2026

As mentioned last year we have streamlined our approach by placing one bulk stationery order for the entire school. This ensures consistency, reduces comparisons between students, minimises distraction, and supports efficient use of classroom space.

All essential book list items—including exercise books and stationery—will be purchased by the school and are included within school fees and levies. We ask that students use the school-provided stationery in class and keep any special items for home use.

Families will only be asked to supply:

  • A set of headphones (if the current pair no longer works).  These do not need to be expensive.
  • box of tissues

Uniform

We begin Term 1 wearing our summer uniform only including a school hat. School hats are required from Wednesday. If a student does not have a school hat they will be required to play under the verandahs until they bring their hat.

A reminder that PSW is our Uniform Supplier.  Orders can be made online through the PSW website or their shop at 1 Age Street, Cheltenham is open Monday to Saturday.

Hair/Nails/Jewellery

Please remember no extreme hairstyles eg mohawks, razor cuts. Hair below the shoulder must be put up in a ponytail.  Only clear nail polish is acceptable at school.  Sleepers or small studs are the only acceptable earrings and if your child wants to wear a necklace it can only be a chain with a cross on it.

Sunscreen

Due to allergies and Child Safe Standards schools cannot supply or apply sunscreen to students. Please remember to put your preferred sunscreen into your child's bag. Their teachers will give their students time to apply their sunscreen before recess and lunch.

Lunch Time Clubs

Our lunchtime clubs will be back up and running in Week 3.

Tuesday - Craft Club

Wednesday - Lego Club

Thursday - Box Club
