Principal's Report
Dear families,
What a busy week we have had with our Curriculum Day, Father’s Day Stall and Father’s Day Breakfast.
A huge thank you to all those families who supported our stall by sending along items, setting up and serving on the day. It is certainly one of the activities the students thoroughly enjoy.
FATHERS’ DAY BREAKFAST
Our Father’s Day Breakfast was a huge success. Firstly, I must thank our amazing staff who volunteered to come in and assist with breakfast, they did a wonderful job. Thank you also to our band of student helpers who assisted with the setup, floral arrangements and finally the pack up. I am so proud of these students and their eagerness to assist with any task around the school.
WELCOME
We would like to welcome the Fitzpatrick family to Toolamba Primary, Ollie has commenced in Grade 5 this week.
SOMERS CAMP
We have received our allocation for the upcoming Somers Camp of four girls and six boys. The draw for this camp will be done tomorrow.
TOOLAMBA COOKBOOK
Mrs Kimmorley has spent many hours collating the cookbook, we certainly appreciate her dedication to this fundraising activity. Books are available for sale for $10 each via Qkr!
CLASSROOM UPDATE
Currently Mr Tarrant is on sick leave. Mrs Thorn has kindly volunteered to return to work full time in the Grade 4 classroom. This will ensure stability for the students. As Mr Tarrant will not be going on the Grade 3/4 camp next week, I will be attending which will be fun.
THANK YOU
Thanks to the generosity of Parents & Friends and JSC we now have new post protectors for the football posts and the basketball posts. Not only do they look fantastic but they will make the playground a safer place.
HEALTH UPDATE
Currently we have had several cases of Conjunctivitis. Students are to be kept home until discharge from the eyes has ceased.
If your child requires medicine at school, please complete the Administration of Medicine form. This is available on the school website.

SMILE SQUAD
Smile Squad have provided oral health packs to schools to distribute to students. The pack includes a toothbrush, toothpaste and oral health education material to promote dental health to students.
Preventative components such as the provision of oral health packs, education on diet and teeth brushing, and the application of fluoride varnish will complement and build on existing prevention and oral health initiatives in preschools, maternal and child health settings and in primary care.
Schools also have access to the Smile Squad oral health promotion guide, which offers helpful, opt-in ideas for schools to support and encourage healthy environments and behaviours.
We will be having a dental van visit in February next year.
