Year One

Teamwork in Year One

As a part of our Personal & Social Learning and Wellbeing lessons each week, students have been inquiring into Problem Solving when working as part of a team. Students brainstormed and inquired into team work, understanding that it involves working towards the same goal.

Students then worked as part of a team to create a playdough cafe. Together, they had to agree upon a menu and then use a limited amount of play dough to create the menu items. Students chose a problem solving goal to focus on when working as part of a team. At times, students were challenged to communicate calmly and brainstorm different possible solutions to the problems faced when working together.
