Father’s Day Prayer Prayer

Let us pray.

Loving God, who is both mother and father to us, you help us and care for us, you support and protect us, your children.

Bless all our fathers, give them strength and courage, tenderness and gentleness, kindness and mercy so that they may be examples of the love you have for us.

We celebrate the life-giving care we receive through our fathers, and we remember those fathers who are no longer with us.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.

Amen.

A message from St Vinnies

To St Xavier's community,

We would like to thank you for your very generous donation from your pyjama day.

We have bought blankets plus items for our pantry, from which we regularly give out food parcels to needy families. In the financial year just gone we have given out over $20 000 worth of help locally, which includes food parcels and vouchers, transport vouchers and health and medical aid and help with other bills. We are able to help people of Gunnedah and Boggabri as well as the surrounding district. Our winter appeal this year raised over $2400.

Thank you once again,

Jacinta Stanley (Secretary)

Stamp Collection

As a school we are going to be collecting stamps and sending them to Mary MacKillop Today. All you need to do is collect your stamps, new or used, it doesn’t matter (they’ll even take your collections and albums). The stamps are trimmed and sorted with the help of volunteers and then sent to an auction house where they are sold to collectors.

Students are encouraged to get their grandparents or extended families and neighbours involved!
