Reader's Notes

Book Club

This edition, I interviewed Ms Wilson one of our amazing Librarian's!

What book are you currently reading, or read last?

My current book is for my book club, it is called The Lost Diary of Venice by Margaux Deroux.

What was your favourite book as a kid?

Any fairy tale, The Sleeping Beauty was my fave then.

If you were stuck on a desert island, and were told that your only entertainment was an unlimited supply of books, but they had to remain in the same genre, what genre would you pick?

Historical Fiction

What book have you been putting off to read, or is next on your TBR?

A Certain Kind of Power by Ryan Butta, Ryan is an ex-student of mine and I am waiting until I have a decent period of reading time, like school holidays.

If you were prime minister and had to mandate a specific book that was compulsory for all of Australia to read, what book would you choose?

I have to choose one? A biography, I have a short list:

What book trope automatically makes you slam a book closed to never be reopened again?

Dystopian, but in saying that VOX was a book club book and I found it ok.

Footnote: I am currently enjoying an Australian author Tea Cooper, she writes historical drama. She has done her research with historical accuracy and has strong female role models in non-traditional roles.
