Year 4 Sovereign Hill Camp

Three teachers, three dads and 43 students embarked on a three-day journey stepping back in time to the 1850’s. Not only did everyone discover gold at Sovereign Hill, but they also experienced what life was like back in time. This was through visiting underground mine-shafts, watching candle dipping, gold pouring, confectionery making, a magic pantomime show, sound and light shows and exploring the town of Sovereign Hill itself.

Students also experienced new friendships and experiences by living and working together. Cabin bonding, sleeping arrangements and having fun with each other was the icing on the cake making this camp a memorable encounter by all.
