PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Dear Families,

Mortlake College was extremely fortunate to have Emina MacLean (Literacy expert) visit and work with staff and students last Wednesday. 

Our students were treated to engaging sessions from Emina whilst staff were provided with invaluable feedback from her observations throughout the day. A huge congratulations to all staff with Emina full of praise for the quality of instructional practice at Mortlake College.

On Wednesday 4th our school is undertaking a financial audit, normal practice for our government schools. Auditors will be present throughout the day sifting through a mountain of paperwork meticulously prepared by Brooke, our Business Manager. 

Furthermore, we are also in the ‘preparation’ stage for our School Review taking place in early 2025. In short, this is where we start thinking about our priorities for the next four years. Expect some short surveys and communication about this next term.

Our Year 12’s have five weeks to go! Whilst every effort is being made by our staff to ensure they are fully prepared for their exams next term, can we ask that you keep checking in on your sons and daughters on how they are going and feel free to communicate with us if the need should arise.

Our Parent Opinion Survey is still open and we encourage you to have your say. We value your thoughts and would love to have a high percentage of families provide feedback. 

Your thoughts and opinions are always welcome, so……please complete the 2024 Parent/Guardian survey which opened on Monday and will remain open until August 30th.
