An appreciation of Art history

In the Stage 4 Purple Support class, students are working on an appropriation of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night, exploring their creativity by reinterpreting the iconic painting with their own unique styles and perspectives. 

This project encourages them to experiment with colour, texture, and brushwork while building on van Gogh’s signature swirls and vibrant night sky. Through this process, students develop their understanding of artistic techniques and learn to express their individuality, making the famous masterpiece their own while deepening their appreciation for art history.
