Boom-whackers and more!

Music in the Inclusive Education Unit

This term, students in the Inclusive Education Music Class have been actively exploring the exciting world of rhythm through body percussion, movement, and boom-whackers.

From clapping and stomping to tapping out beats with their hands and knees, students have been using their bodies as instruments to develop their sense of timing, coordination, and musical expression.

Adding movement to the mix has made learning rhythm even more engaging, as students step, sway, and jump to the beat of the music.

One of the highlights of the program has been playing boom-whackers (colourful, pitched percussion tubes) which allows students to create melodies and harmonies while reinforcing their rhythmic skills. The joy of making music together has encouraged teamwork, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

It's fantastic to see students actively participating and building their musical skills while having a great time. We can’t wait to see how they continue to grow as young musicians.

Well done to all our musicians!
