A great term of teaching and learning

A wonderful finish to Term One

As we wrap up Term One, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the amazing highlights from the past few weeks.

While there have been many fantastic initiatives throughout the term—such as sporting successes, Harmony Day celebrations, International Women's Day and a range of engaging learning opportunities—there were a few standout moments recently that truly captured the spirit and strength of our school community.

It was a privilege to attend the 2025 NSW Government’s Iftar Dinner at CommBank Stadium with our School Captains, Lucas and Rewana, and Vice Captains, Sophie and Aziz. Sharing this meaningful cultural celebration with our student leaders was a memorable experience and a wonderful opportunity to represent the Education sector alongside them. On the night, our students were also lucky enough to meet the Premier of NSW, Mr Chris Minns, and the Secretary of the Department of Education, Mr Murat Dizdar—a truly special moment they won’t soon forget.

I also had the pleasure of joining Kelly and two of our inclusive education students, Cameron and Jason, at the opening of the Operation Art exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW.  Along with their peers, Canon and Mary, and under the guidance of their talented Visual Arts teachers, Ms Lopez and Ms Buchhorn, their artwork was selected as one of only fifty pieces to be placed on permanent display at the Children's Hospital. What an incredible achievement!

Another standout moment was the 2025 Pulse Alive concert, where 24 of our talented dancers from Years 7–12 showcased their passion and creativity on stage.  As always, our students represented themselves and our school with pride, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

It’s always an honour to support and celebrate the successes of our students and staff. Thank you to our amazing staff for the opportunities you continue to create—your dedication makes a lasting difference.

Uniform

As the colder months approach, we encourage all families to ensure their child has the appropriate winter uniform to stay warm and comfortable while maintaining our high standards of dress.

Please be reminded that hoodies and beanies are not part of our school uniform and are therefore not permitted.

Trackpants purchased from our uniform shop are only permitted to be worn to school on Tuesdays by Year 9 and 10 students.

Trackpants are not permitted at any other time.

Scarves purchased from our uniform shop can be worn by all students.

To support students in wearing the correct attire, our uniform shop is fully stocked with jumpers, jackets, and long pants in a variety of sizes, including the addition of a junior long sleeve blouse. A senior version will arrive shortly.  We encourage families to visit the shop to purchase any necessary winter items.

If your family requires confidential financial assistance to obtain uniform items, please contact the school, and we will be happy to assist.

Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing support in maintaining our school’s high standards. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Wishing all our students, staff and families a safe and restful break. We look forward to seeing you in Term 2!
