🛌🏻Cebula Boarding

Boarding News
Dear Boarding Parents and Guardians,
It was wonderful to see some of our boarding parents attend this week's Year 7 Mothers and Sons and Year 8 Fathers and Sons "Time and Space" events. Both were wonderful opportunities for the boys to spend time engaging in conversations about their experiences during the early high school years with excellent feedback from those who attended.
The Cebula boys showed a great sense of house spirit at both the Cross County and Tug of War events this week. It was great to see the camaraderie that emanates when the boys come together, and watching the boys support and encourage each other highlights our Cebula values.
Along with Principal Simon Harvey, I visited Moora and Wongan Hills last Tuesday to meet with past, current and future families. We had a great turnout, and I’d like to thank Kelli Anspach, Elise Boase and Aleisha Coad for organizing the delicious catering and to past parent, Sandra Dowsett for her assistance with the venue. On Thursday, I joined staff from St Brigid’s in Jurien Bay, again meeting with families. These visits give us a valuable insight into where our boys and their families call home, as well as allowing us to connect with those considering Mazenod as a boarding option for their sons in the future.
The boys have had a busy first term. For our new boarders, it’s been a period of transition, and I congratulate them all for the way they have navigated the challenges of residential life. I also thank all the parents who journey with us as we care for their sons and the staff for their support of the boys.
I wish you all a happy and safe Easter and a wonderful time with your sons.
